Our role in the global Nature Positive movement

As a consultancy, we help organisations play their part in a nature positive future, forming a bridge to the worldwide movement recovering nature for future generations.

We actively contribute to key global efforts that are creating the tools and frameworks to support business in the transition, including the global Nature Positive Initiative, SBTN, TNFD, IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management, IBAT Alliance and more.

The Nature Positive journey

While every organisation and project is different, our approach generally follows these steps, with a focus on building capability and creating partnerships to support the long-term journey of nature recovery.

Throughout these steps, we are inspired by te ao Māori, indigenous knowledge systems, and community values, which recognise the interconnection of people and nature.

1. Assess

Assess and prioritise material nature-related impacts and dependencies within your value chain.

2. Commit

Commit to place-based targets that will halt and reverse your contributions to nature-loss, benefitting communities.

3. Transform

Take action to mitigate impacts and regenerate nature in all areas of your influence, starting with where you can make the most difference.

4. Verify and Disclose

Monitor and verify your results. Share progress updates and how you’re managing the process.

5. Reflect

Consult, review & learn. Revise approaches, capacity and partnerships. Celebrate success!
